Living Foods Matrix™ is a premier line of biologically harvested nutrient supplements; a proven – supported by peer reviewed studies – range of true “Living Foods Matrix” nutrient formulas. The Re-natured™ nutrients are the closest thing to food in their actual bioavailability because all nutrient vectors are molecularly bonded.

Each Living Foods Matrix formula has an individual amino-acid profile specific to each nutrient. This is in effect the delivery address, and while not declared in the break-down of the formula, it is nonetheless present. It is important to say that it is the living process during the manufacture that the host nutrient matrix, i.e. yeast, carrot concentrate, citrus pulp etc., are responsible for the uptake of the prime nutrient, due to the configuration of the receptor sites. Therefore each Living Foods Matrix nutrient has a unique amino-acid and lipid profile.

Living Foods USA offers the following formulas to dedicated holistic practitioners for their practice and to all who refuse to make compromises with their health using fractionated or other so-called “natural” supplements. They are made in the USA according to a process created by Andrew Szalay, who studied under Dr. Albert Szent-Gyorgi, nobel laureate.

1. Multivitamin, mineral & trace element formula This is a broad-spectrum nutrient complex that we have found to be effective in providing a sensible base-line of nutrients. It is important to draw to your attention that from our experience and research, there are no ‘antagonistic’ aspects to the nutrients in this formula. In contrast, it is known that with standard USP materials, vitamin E and iron will negate each other, as do several other components of the standard vitamin/ mineral complex. Our Living Foods Matrix “Multi” ensures that all the declared nutrients are biologically active and in harmony within the body, and with each other.
2. An Anti-oxidant formulation with Co-enzyme Q10 This formula provides beta-carotene, the vitamin C complex that includes bio-flavonoids, vitamin E (with active isomers), zinc and selenium. The Co-Q10 is sourced from sugar beet and is much more biologically active than the normal Q10 available, usually from slaughter house products. For your interest, the Q10 aspect of this formula is over 40% of the cost.
3. A vitamin B Complex nutrient formula with Magnesium and Vitamin C This formula has been proven beneficial over many years. The importance of adding the magnesium and vitamin C is to ensure that the supportive nutrients are available to assist the transport and absorption of several of the B vitamins. As you will know, in food these are found together, and the principle is based on nature’s design, to ensure that for the proper utilization of B vitamins, the magnesium and vitamin C are not taken from other tissue store sites within the body to facilitate the process, so it comes as a complete food. This formula also contains the important para B vitamins to provide a comprehensive vitamin B complex nutrient formula.
4. A Living Foods Matrix Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids This formula has a proven record of clinical effectiveness in many countries and clinics, and in peer-reviewed published papers. The bioflavonoid content is usually 8% of the vitamin C content, which is an important ratio. As you will know, bioflavonoids both protect and help activate vitamin C within the body. They are also known to  reduce oxidative stress.
5. A Living Foods Matrix Vitamin E This 100 mg tablet is a more than adequate dose for most clinical applications. In fact, we often suggest people break the tablet and take perhaps 50 mg a day. This formula contains the active isomers necessary for proper vitamin E function. This formula has proven its effectiveness especially in terms of eliminating lipid peroxidation in the blood.
6. Living Foods Matrix Essential Fatty Acid complex of Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9 This formula provides an effective ‘team’ delivery, as it is not often appreciated that in order for essential fatty acids to be absorbed and utilised, there is the necessity for them to support each other. While it may appear that the doses are small, we have to remember that in reality they are at significant levels when compared with normal dietary consumption.
7. A Living Foods Matrix Selenium formula There is a definite need for this very important trace mineral. As we know from survey after survey, eight out of ten people are deficient in selenium. The average intake for people consuming a ‘western’ diet is between 30 to 50 mcg per day, with organisations like the WHO stating that the minimum required on a daily basis is 200 mcg. We need to remember that for people with more than two amalgam fillings in their mouth, or who have had amalgam fillings replaced inappropriately, a significant amount of the selenium from food will be used by the body in an attempt to chelate the free mercury out of the system, resulting in very little indeed being available to the immune system to fight disease.
8. Living Foods Matrix Magnesium formula There are two options for this mineral. One is with the traditional Baker’s Yeast base, and the other is with what Grow call ‘biogurt’, which is presenting the mineral in a lacto-bacillus Bulgaricus bonded base. I really must leave the decision on which base you would prefer to you, but to help you decide, I prefer the yeast. However, many consumers prefer the Biogurt. In terms of clinical effectiveness, there is very little difference.
9. A Living Foods Matrix Zinc and Copper formula This formula is available as described for the Magnesium above.
10. A Living Foods Matrix Joint and Bone Support Formula This is a particularly useful formula in clinics. The clinical application for reduced bone tissue density, or the menopause, is to combine this with the Living Foods Matrix calcium, to give a boost during the initial three months, and two or three times a year, a monthly boost for those susceptible to bone tissue loss.
11. Iron and Molybdenum There is no question that this is a very effective formula, and from clinical experience, it is more effective as the yeast than the Biogurt. We have seen even quite severely depleted people re-nourished with this formula, when orthodox medics would be looking for IV intervention. Unlike the pharmaceutical presentations of iron, we have never found contra-indications that are associated with the USP iron supplements. The addition of molybdenum is to help the transport of iron through the gut and into the blood stream, as this trace mineral plays an important role in this process. It is factual to say that while the molybdenum is required for absorption, there is not always a supply available in the gut for this process.
12. Living Foods Matrix Calcium This is a very well proven calcium supplement that will get to the bone and increase density. We also know that this form of calcium (in the yeast) will improve neuron transport. This mineral seems to perform much better within yeast than Biogurt.
13. Living Foods Matrix GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor) Chromium with additional anti-oxidants This formula of yeast-based minerals supplies the anti-oxidant complex to enhance the function of chromium for specific clinical applications. Unlike other forms of chromium, the GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor) is in the form that the body can use. As you will know, for chromium to be utilized, it needs other nutrients which are not always available to ‘free’ chromium.
14. Karoshil This is a Living Foods Matrix formula with an herbal component. The appropriate way to describe it is to say it was designed to help women reduce Prozac. It did this by supplying the nutrients that can be carried to the brain across the blood-brain barrier in a phosphorylated form. Following a considerable amount of clinical work, the clinics and the designer felt it appropriate to describe this formula as a tablet to help you know what you would do if you were free. In plain terms, this combination of nutrients seems to help people contact their own spiritual side and provide greater insights to their well-being. 15. Multi-food and herbal colon cleansing formula This is not a Living Foods Matrix formula, and in some respects it is appropriate that this should not be. It has been used over many years by holistic medical doctors, and especially in regard to those unfortunate enough to suffer allergies. It is very effective in reducing candida albicans and other harmful organisms in the gut. There is a separate rationale available upon request, detailing the many properties of the herbs in this formula.
16. VITAMIN D: THIS FORMULA SUPPLIES 1000IU OF D3. Please remember that most vitamin D supplements are in fact inactive, both D3 and D2 precursors are hydroxylated in the liver and kidneys to form 25- hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), the non-active 'storage' form.
    
    The Living Foods Matrix vitamin D we supply (as validated by the Linus Pauling Institute – in the person of Dr J. Bland) stated that the Food State vitamin D (our Living Foods Matrix D) with the active metabolites was as the 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25(OH)2D), the biologically active form. Vitamin D is a potent fat-soluble antioxidant. Because our Vitamin D is hydroxylated and is with metabolites it is therefore metabolized in the body more efficiently. Vitamin D is important for your immune system, studies show it helps protect against skin against sun damage. Women find D essential especial into menopause and can help prevent bone loss.
